Meet NOVUS Athlete Ture Linden

NOVUS Athlete and Penn State Men’s Hockey Forward

Who is Ture Linden?

Hailing from Great Falls, Virginia, Ture Linden has made a name for himself in NCAA Hockey. Penn State men’s hockey forward, Linden is well known for his success on the ice as a Nittany Lion and previously as a team captain at RPI.

Ture attended and played for RPI’s hockey team from 2018-2022 and had a career year in 2021-22 leading the RPI Engineers with 39 points on 20 goals and 19 assists in 44 games. On the collegiate level, Linden has 68 career points on 29 goals and 39 assists in 114 games and was a four-year ECAC Hockey All-Academic honoree.

“I chose Penn State to get closer to my goal of playing professional hockey and the trust I have in the coaching staff, unrivaled atmosphere at Pegula Ice Arena, and the strong alumni network,” said Ture Linden.

As a Fifth Year Senior at Penn State, Linden has his eyes set on going pro. His team is currently ranked 7th in the country right and ranked 5th in the upcoming Frozen Four Tournament in Tampa.

“Last year I wanted to go pro, but needed more time playing in college,” said Ture Linden. “ It’s always on my mind and pushes me to work hard every day. It really comes down to how deep we can go in playoffs.”

Penn State Hockey certainly has depth. With different lines stepping up at every game, they’ve created an unmatched chemistry as a team, which has led to their success.

Ture Liden Partners With NOVUS

While Linden has been scoring goals and pushing Penn State forward, he’s also managed to create his own clothing brand with NOVUS. The partnership between the apparel company and Linden started while he was still playing at RPI, which happens to be in close proximity to NOVUS’ headquarters.

“We’ve had a ton of fun working with Ture and can’t say enough about his efforts and energy in making the most of this partnership. Watching him sell his own beanies, hats, tees, and hoodies has really brought us back to the days when we were at UMaine and Anderson just getting NOVUS off the ground,” said Garrett Bernardo, CEO & Owner of NOVUS Clothing Company. “He’s assembled his teammates and other students on campus for photoshoots and even was featured in an article from the campus paper about the line he put out! It’s fun for us to see him doing his thing and having a good time with it.”

When student-athletes were granted permission to profit from NIL opportunities, Linden began working on his brand with NOVUS. He trusted the clothing company due to their roster of NCAA and professional athletes and their ability to design and market custom apparel.

“I chose NOVUS because of their values and everything NOVUS stands for,” said Linden. “Doing good things in the community, being good people, and having great quality products–that’s been awesome to represent.”

Linden used the line as an opportunity to express his personality off the ice and was able to share his passion for creating clothing with his fellow students on campus.

“It was surreal. I was in there with an iPad trying to help…but it was all the designers,” said Linden. “They came up with such a cool, clean logo that resonates with everyone. I’m so impressed every time I see their designs.”

NOVUS at Penn State University

NOVUS believes that every time a product is worn, it’s an opportunity to Claim Your Crown. Now that NOVUS is on campus, the clothing company is supporting collegiate dreams to be chased, new trials to be faced, and new stories to be written—both on and off the court.

“Working with collegiate athletes is huge for us, especially since our brand was born on a college campus,” said Garrett Bernardo.

Through this partnership and the NIL, NOVUS, and Linden have created a collection using the iconic Penn State logo. The clothing line is sourced from premium materials that feature unique customized designs that Nittany fans can rep at a game, a sports bar, or around campus.

“The line was well received on campus,” said Linden. “It was awesome to see it all come to life—it’s great quality and super nice.”

What’s Next for NOVUS?

NOVUS continues to seek out powerful partnerships, like its partnership with Ture Linden and Penn State University. By seeking out athletes with a similar vision, drive and passion to the brand, NOVUS has formed partnerships with Harrison Butker from the Kansas City Chiefs, George Odom from the San Francisco 49ers, Joe Girard III from SU Basketball, and Terese Cannon a Professional Volleyball Player.

The company has successfully built out a team of young athletes and plans on supporting them as they move forward in their athletic careers and lives.

“We’re excited and getting after it. We’re continuing to build an amazing team and customer family at NOVUS,” said Garrett Bernardo. “Baseball season is right around the corner so stay tuned for some exciting news to come in the months ahead!”
