NOVUS Athlete and Kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, Harrison Butker is ready to claim his crown in the upcoming Super Bowl LVII game against the Philadelphia Eagles. This will mark Butker’s third Super Bowl game in four years.
Harrison Butker’s Super Bowl Journey
The journey to Super Bowl LVII was no easy feat. The Kansas City Chiefs Kicker suffered from an injury in the beginning of the season, but he came back stronger than ever in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals. With only seconds left in the game, Butker (butt) kicked the 45-yard game-winning field goal to defeat the Bengals 23-20—sending the Chiefs to the Super Bowl.
In true NOVUS fashion, Harrison Butker remained resilient when faced with adversity. By staying true to his purpose he was able to bounce back and make the biggest kick of his career, leading his team to Super Bowl LVII.
The History of NOVUS & Harrison Butker
So, how did NOVUS end up going into business with this Super Bowl superstar? Some may say it was by coincidence or fate. Back in January 2020, at the FOCUS SLS20 Catholic conference, Nick and Garrett Bernardo, the founding brothers of NOVUS Clothing Company were introduced to Harrison Butker’s manager—and the rest was history.
Following the conference, the Bernado’s met Butker in Kansas City. After learning more about NOVUS’ high-quality custom sportswear and apparel and discussing their respective missions, Butker signed a partnership for a custom “BUTKER by NOVUS” apparel line. Today, Butker has taken that relationship “to the heights” by becoming an equity partner with NOVUS.
“Growing up as a kid, you look towards athletes to be role models for you—and obviously, they’re not perfect, but I’m just imagining young athletes saying, ‘wow, that guy is a Super Bowl Champion, he’s on TV, I want to go out and I want to be like him,’” said Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs Kicker. “I want to support him by wearing his material, his logo, and hopefully I can be a good role model for them.
Harrison Butker proves to be a good role model on and off the field, which is why NOVUS sought out the partnership with Butker in the first place. Like all NOVUS athletes, Harrison Butker embodies the company mission of inspiring perseverance, hard work, and living life with passion and conviction.
NOVUS Custom Apparel Enters the Stadium
Through the partnership with Harrison Butker and the successful launch of “BUTKER by NOVUS” apparel line, NOVUS had the opportunity to bring their custom apparel to the Chiefs training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri and Arrowhead Stadium. A fan favorite in the collection was the limited edition Ugly Christmas Sweater Hoodies, each hoodie was individually numbered making it extremely collectible and highly sought after. These exclusive hoodies sold out almost immediately at Arrowhead Stadium!
Following the launches, NOVUS hosted a meet and greet with Harrison Butker and All-Pro Punter, Tommy Townsend for the grand opening of the new Chiefs Fit location. NOVUS’ Stadium Collection was featured throughout their retail shop.
