NOVUS Attends Super Bowl LVII
NOVUS Owners Celebrate Kansas City Chiefs Win with Harrison Butker
Harrison Butker Kicks Game-Winning Field Goal
NOVUS Clothing Company owners and brothers Nick and Garrett Bernardo and Scott Klimchak claimed their crown at Super Bowl LVII in Glendale Arizona, all thanks to NOVUS Athlete and Kansas City Chiefs Kicker, Harrison Butker. Not only did the brothers get to rub elbows with some of the biggest players in the game, but more importantly, they got to witness Harrison Butker kick the game-winning field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles!
With a tie score of 35-35 and only eight seconds remaining in the game, Harrison Butker made the game-winning kick and claimed the crown for the Kansas City Chiefs, bringing the final score to 38-35. Butker’s game-deciding field goal gave the Chiefs their second Super Bowl victory since 2020.
Butker has proven to remain calm despite the game-clinching pressure by focusing on one kick at a time. Just two weeks earlier at the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Butker hit the game-winning field goal with three seconds left to send the Chiefs to the Super Bowl.
“The offensive line did a great job blocking,” Butker said in an interview with ArrowHead Pride. “Great snap, great hold—and thankfully, that ball went through. All glory to God.”
Similar to NOVUS’ relationship with Butker, his game-deciding field goal appeared effortless. Butker has worked closely with NOVUS Clothing Company over the years to produce the “BUTKER by NOVUS” apparel line and has taken the partnership “to the heights” by becoming an equity partner and inviting the NOVUS team to Super Bowl LVII.
NOVUS’ First Super Bowl Experience
NOVUS has been on the move between attending conferences all over the country, local and national sporting events, the PGA Tour, and now Super Bowl LVII. And Butker’s team made sure the NOVUS owners got nothing but the VIP treatment at their first Super Bowl debut.
“It was an unbelievable experience. Getting to spend time with some of the players' families, the Chiefs staff, chatting with the Hunt Family and even seeing some of our Stadium Collection gear in action was surreal,” said Nick Bernardo, Owner & COO of NOVUS Clothing Company. “The Dunlap family were rocking their hoodies and tees we had put together a week earlier for Carlos, so it was just a really special moment for us to experience.”
The NOVUS team had the opportunity to meet Clark Hunt, owner of the Kansas City Chiefs as well as his daughter Gracie and son Knobel. They got their fix of Super Bowl food at the tailgate party while catching up with Harrison Butker’s family and meeting the family of Carlos Dunlap, Defensive End for the Kansas City Chiefs who were sporting their custom-designed NOVUS tees.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better game—and a better ending. As time was winding down with about four minutes left, Nick, Scotty, and I were all saying 'he’s going to get the game-winner…’ and I think our stomachs were turning just thinking about the stage and the whole world watching,” said Garrett Bernardo, Owner & CEO of NOVUS Clothing Company. “Of course, Harrison drilled it and we were screaming like kids—we’ll never forget it.”
The Super Bowl celebrations continued after Butker scored the game-winning field goal with only seconds left in the tied game. The NOVUS owners joined Butker and his team for a celebratory dinner and headed to the star-studded Super Bowl LVII after-party, where they jammed out to Jason Derulo and met the very proud father of Patrick Mahomes.
